Changing Perceptions at the Health & Safety Event 2025

When CLEAN Linen Services Ltd decided to exhibit at the Health & Safety Event 2025 at the NEC, the team knew they needed more than just a stand—they needed to tell a story. As a UK-based laundry company specialising in linen and workwear rental, CLEAN has long served the hospitality and manufacturing sectors, offering everything from bed linen and towels to flame-retardant PPE. But there was a common misconception in the market—that they were simply a supplier of uniforms. For Ted Walker, Head of Group Marketing at CLEAN, this event was an opportunity to change that narrative.

A Stand with a Purpose

The Health & Safety Event brought together exactly the kind of professionals CLEAN wanted to reach—health and safety managers and decision-makers from sectors where compliance and cleanliness matter. But reaching them meant doing more than turning up. CLEAN wanted a stand that would attract attention, open conversations, and tell the full story of what they offer.

They turned to Park Display, a partner they had trusted for several years. But this time, the brief came with a creative twist: “Let’s do something different.”

Showing, Not Just Telling

CLEAN wanted visitors to understand they weren’t just handing out uniforms—they were offering a complete, managed service. The big idea? A large screen playing a washing machine in action. It wasn’t a gimmick—it was the visual hook that made people stop and ask questions.

“We wanted to communicate that we’re not just a PPE supplier,” said Ted. “That washing machine video made it really clear what we’re about.”

The stand also showcased CLEAN’s workwear in a more imaginative way than ever before. Instead of the usual mannequins on the floor, Park Display suspended the garments, allowing them to hang naturally in the air, almost like they were caught mid-motion. Alongside this, a comfortable seating area invited visitors to stay and talk, while built-in storage kept the stand tidy and efficient.

A Reliable Partner Behind the Scenes

While the design was eye-catching, the process behind it was smooth and straightforward. Ted appreciated the hands-off experience during production.

“We didn’t hear much from them during the stand’s production; they just got on with it,” he said. “They were helpful, good communicators. Everything was good, it worked well, looked professional, and stood out.”

Looking Ahead

It was still early days when Ted reflected on the event, but the CLEAN team left the NEC satisfied. The stand had done its job: it caught attention, started conversations, and made a lasting impression.

For CLEAN Linen Services, this event marked more than a marketing effort—it was a statement of identity. With Park Display’s help, they were able to show exactly what makes them different: not just uniforms, but a fully managed, reliable, and professional service—from the first fitting to the last wash.
