“The whole experience was really positive with future projects lined up with Park Display.”
G-Plan, a renowned British furniture brand with a rich history in craftsmanship and design, collaborated with Park Display to create a striking exhibition stand for the January Furniture Show 2025. This project represented a significant milestone as G-Plan made its return to the show after a three-year hiatus, making it vital to design a visually engaging and functional stand that would effectively highlight their latest product launch. We spoke with Aaron Forrester of G-Plan to discuss the collaboration, design process, and overall experience of working with Park Display.

The Project Scope & Objectives
The primary goal of the project was to develop an eye-catching, practical stand within a restricted budget. The stand needed to reflect G-Plan’s brand identity while creating an inviting space for visitors to explore the new product range. Although G-Plan had previously worked with Park Display, this was Aaron’s first time collaborating with them.
To bring the vision to life, the project required a strong partnership and a collaborative approach. G-Plan created the light boxes, while Park Display managed the structural elements, including walling and electrical work. A key consideration for this project was sustainability and reusability. G-Plan aimed to design a stand that could be repurposed for future events with minor updates rather than requiring a complete rebuild each time.
The design process involved close communication between both teams, with initial concepts developed by G-Plan and refined with Dan from Park Display, ensuring that the final design met both aesthetic and budgetary requirements. Given a lower-than-usual budget this year, careful planning and value engineering were essential to balance cost-effectiveness with high-impact presentation.
Timeline & Execution
With the project starting in November for a January event, the turnaround time was exceptionally tight. Nevertheless, Park Display’s responsiveness and efficiency ensured that all elements were completed on schedule. The final stand featured a 2.7-metre-high structure with a central dividing wall, providing a clear and organised layout for the display. To enhance visual appeal and attract attention, two illuminated light boxes were strategically positioned to create a strong brand presence, while the remaining space was dedicated to showcasing G-Plan’s furniture collection in a manner that encouraged visitor engagement.
Despite the time constraints, Park Display maintained a high level of professionalism. They worked swiftly to meet deadlines while ensuring quality craftsmanship in the final build. Their ability to adapt and deliver within the challenging timeframe played a crucial role in the project’s success.
Quality & Outcome
Given the budget limitations, G-Plan was exceedingly pleased with the final result. The stand effectively communicated the brand’s message, provided a robust platform for the product launch, and facilitated meaningful interactions with visitors. The combination of thoughtfully considered lighting, well-structured layout, and high-quality materials produced a display that surpassed expectations.
While the wallpaper issue during the event was minor, it was a small setback that did not significantly impact the overall experience. The issue was addressed promptly, and the stand continued to function as intended throughout the show. Considering the constraints faced, the overall execution was highly successful, and G-Plan was impressed by the level of support provided by Park Display.
